Yeniliz Peguero, B.A., Macaulay Honors College at CSI, 2020; J.D. (Expected), Cardozo Law School, Class of 2024. Yeniliz graduated with a 3.8 GPA and completed a dual major in Political Science and Philosophy, as well as a minor in Italian. While at CSI Yeniliz interned at the office of then city council member Jumaane Williams. She later worked as a field organizer on Max Rose’s congressional campaign and Tali Farhadian Weinstein's campaign for Manhattan DA. She received a full tuition scholarship from Cardozo for each of her three years.
Taylor Lepore, B.S., Macaulay Honors College at CSI, Class of 2019; J.D. (Expected), New York Law School, Class of 2022. Taylor majored in Electrical and Electronics Engineering at CSI. She receives an annual scholarship in the amount of $40,000 at New York Law School. She is a member of the Media, Entertainment, and Fashion Law Association, with a focus on intellectual property.
Anastasia Velkov, B.A. Psychology, Minor in Marketing, CSI, 2018; J.D. (Expected), Roger Williams Law School, 2024. Anastasia graduated from CSI with a GPA of 3.6. She worked as a paralegal at a Real Estate Law firm before beginning law school in the Fall of 2021. She attends Roger Williams Law School in Connecticut on a partial scholarship.
Peter Carle, B.A., CSI; J.D. (Expected), New York Law School, 2024. Peter majored in Accounting at CSI and graduated with a 3.23 GPA. He was a part of the swim team for all of his four years at the college and was named team captain his senior year. He also interned with the Richmond County District Attorney's Office, working for the Immigrant Rights and Affairs Bureau. He received an annual scholarship in the amount of $35,000 from New York Law.
Katelyn Goetten, B.A., CSI (Verrazano Honors College), Class of 2020, J.D. (Expected), Cardozo Law School, Class of 2023. Katelyn maintained a 3.8 GPA throughout college while majoring in both History and English Literature. She interned at the American Geographic Society as a newsletter writer and blog editor. She was also docent at the American Museum of Natural History, Fraunces Tavern Museum and the Hamilton Grange National Memorial. I also was the Vice President and then President of the National Society of Collegiate Scholars (NSCS). She received an annual scholarship from Cardozo in the amount of $22,000.
Anastasia Hayes, B.A., Macaulay Honors College at CSI (Italian Studies and Geography), 2017; J.D., Georgetown University Law Center, 2023 (expected). While at CSI, Ana conducted an independent study in Sicily and participated in two U.S. Department of State internships. She credits these experiences with her interest in international law and hopes to work in the Office of the Legal Adviser upon graduating.
Jake Haymes, B.A., CSI, Class of 2020; J.D. (Expected), Brooklyn Law School, Class of 2023. Jake majored in Political Science at CSI and graduated with a 3.5 GPA. In 2018, an internship with the Honorable Pamela K. Chen stimulated his interest in studying law. Jake received an annual scholarship from Brooklyn Law School in the amount of $46,000.
Paul Piccirello, B.A., CSI Macaulay Honors, 2017, J.D., Cornell University School of Law, 2022 (expected). Paul majored in political science at CSI, minored in writing, and took various internships during study. He volunteered at Staten Island's District Congressional Office, and worked in the CUNY Service & Culture Corps at Historic Richmondtown. He was admitted to the Cornell University School of Law in 2019 with a merit scholarship. He plans to pursue a career in intellectual property law.
Christina Pasatura, B.S., CSI, Class of 2018, majored in finance with a minor in management. Christina holds the Staten Island record for most total points scored across a career in women's basketball. She graduated cum laude in 2018 and accepted a full tuition scholarship to New York Law School. In 2019, Christina worked as a judicial intern for Justice Ling-Cohan for trial and appellate term.
Victoria Ventimiglia, B.S., CSI (Macaulay Honors College), Class of 2017, is a third-year law student at New York Law School. She is interested in confronting economic and social justice issues. Her interests include antitrust and copyright and trademark law, criminal law, and public interest law.

Rachel Postiglione, B.A., CSI (Verrazano Honors School), Class of 2017; J.D. St. John's University Law School, expected Class of 2020. At the College, Rachel maintained a GPA of 3.7. She majored in Political Science with a minor in Legal Studies. She interned in Councilman Joe Borelli's office as part of the Daniel C. Kramer Internship program, and worked at the Staten Island Advance throughout her college career. Rachel attends St. John's University Law School where she receives an annual scholarship in the amount of $50,000.
James Raio, B.A., CSI (Macaulay Honors College), Class of 2017; J.D., Fordham Law School, Class of 2020 (expected). James graduated from CSI with a 3.9 GPA. He majored in Political Science, with minors in both Legal Studies and Economics. During his time at CSI, James studied abroad in Florence, Italy. He also interned at the Richmond County District Attorney’s Office. James received is in his first year at Fordham Law School, where he is the recipient of an annual scholarship in the amount of $35,000).
George D. Adames graduated from CSI in 2016 with a B.A. in Political Science. He received his J.D. from CUNY Law School 2019. He is currently an Assistant District Attorney, Richmond County.
Jordan A. Weiner, B.A., The Verrazano School at CSI, 2014; J.D., Brooklyn Law School, 2018. Jordan graduated from CSI Magna Cum Laude with honors in Political Science and minors in History and Philosophy. Upon graduation he was recognized as a recipient of the Phi Beta Kappa Award and Robert J. Schwenk Political Science award. He received a partial scholarship to attend Brooklyn Law School. He has interned with the Supreme Court Richmond County, the Office of the Self-Represented, and the Children’s Law Center. He is currently an associate at Abrams, Fensterman, Fensterman, Eisman, Formato, Ferrara, Wolf & Carone, LLP.

Matthew Vuotto is a graduate of the College of Staten Island’s Macaulay Honors College Class of 2016. He majored in Political Science and Psychology as well as completing a minor in Legal Studies. During his time at the College, he interned with the Staten Island Family Court, with Families Helping Families Education Law Advocacy Center, and with New York State Senator Andrew Lanza’s District Office. He also served as an officer of the College of Staten Island Chapter of the National Society for Collegiate Scholars (NSCS) and as a lab assistant in the Neuroscience lab of Dr. Dan McCloskey. He plans to enter the field of law as an attorney and will be attending the Law School of William and Mary in Williamsburg, Virginia in August, where he will annual renewable scholarship in the amount of $12,000.

Matthew majored in Political Science at the college of Staten Island graduating with a 3.2 GPA. After graduation, he worked for a legal processing firm assisting attorneys with document retrieval. After a year at the firm, he took the LSAT scoring a 162. He will be attending Cardozo Law School in the fall of 2016 where he received a renewable annual scholarship of $50,000 per year

Antonin Ciaccio, CSI 2015. J.D. New York Law School, 2019 (expected). Anthony majored in Political Science and minored in both History and East Asian Studies. He graduated magna cum laude, with a GPA of 3.82, and with Honors in Political Science. Anthony will attend New York Law School, where he received a renewable annual scholarship of $45,000.
