Free Winter Break Pre-Law Program from U.C. Davis

The application for the 2021 Winter Session of the King Hall Outreach Program is open, and the deadline is Tuesday, December 29, 2020.

The King Hall Outreach Program (KHOP) is a no-cost pre-law program consisting of four Saturday workshops to prepare college students and recent graduates from underrepresented communities to excel in the law school application process. Students and recent graduates of all accredited four-year schools who meet the eligibility criteria are encouraged to apply.

Over 41 percent of KHOP alumni have graduated from, or enrolled in, ABA accredited law schools including UC Davis, UC Berkeley, the University of Michigan, UCLA, UC Hastings, Northwestern University, the University of Wisconsin, Boston University, and many others.

In 2016, KHOP received the American Bar Association Raymond Pace and Sadie Tanner Mossell Alexander Award For Excellence in Pipeline Diversity for its important role in cultivating racial and ethnic diversity in legal education.
Due to the COVID-19 pandemic, the 2021 King Hall Outreach Program Winter Session will take place exclusively on Zoom. In the past, this program has been available only to students who can attend in person at UC Davis, but this year, students can participate from anywhere. The dates of the 2021 KHOP Winter Session are: January 16, January 23, February 6, and February 13 (and we will also meet 2-3 times during the week at a time TBD).
